Close your eyes and imagine a rustic restaurant in the middle of nowhere, where the locals drink beers and share stories of their days. The salad bar was shut down hours ago and the soup might still be warm, but they've got a full menu to select an entree. Good old meat and potatoes types of dishes, which are simple, but you appreciate them for filling the hungry void that a day of sight-seeing has left. As dinner service winds down, more locals show up and the volume of the discussions gets louder and rowdier. You decide that it's best to head back into the darkness from which you came and pray that you don't get lost on your way back to the motel. Congratulations, you just escaped the Bear Trap.
If you are visiting the UP for the first time, or you've been living here for years, you'll want to pay this place a visit. The staff is very friendly. Pasties are huge and taste amazing. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. A real sweet place to grab a bite before or after a camping trip.
Amazing place.. calm and beautiful... The best option if you're camping nearby.. a prices are great too.. one thing caught my attention is there's a map hanging on which people from different places have stick the pins.
The food was wonderful, our entire family was pleased with their meals. Prices are very reasonable, and the staff is friendly & helpful. We have an excellent experience every time we stop!
Worst experience we've ever had. Not only was the good horrible, the server was very rude and barely answered our questions. The reviews said great cocktails but when my girlfriend asked what they had the server just said they had none. They were out of every beer we asked for even though there was a beer list (with boogers on it). It took us an hour and a half just to get one pizza that was burned. Safe to say we'll never go back and try to stop anyone else from going there.
